International artist Wilber Pan is captivating audiences across Asia with his MAD LOVE Tour 2024. The tour’s recent stop at the Huaxi Live Yudong arena in Chongqing, China, was supported by L-Acoustics’ state-of-the-art K Series sound system and demonstrated the impressive combination of Pan’s energetic performance and L-Acoustics renowned sound quality.

The MAD LOVE Tour, aptly named for its high-energy performances and Pan’s passionate connection with his fans, has been making waves across major cities in Asia. The Chongqing stop in August at the 16,000-capacity Huaxi Live Yudong arena, was a testament to Pan’s ability to create an energetic concert experience.

“Will Pan’s music is a nostalgic journey for the 80s and 90s generations, while simultaneously captivating Generation Z with its fresh, high-energy beats,” said Xuan Yuan Shi Song, Senior Product Manager at L-Acoustics Certified Provider Distributor, Rightway Audio Consultants (RAC). “Our goal was to design a sound system that could deliver the full impact of Pan’s dynamic performance, from the subtleties of his vocals to the pulsating rhythms of his hip-hop tracks.”

RAC designed a concert sound system of 15 L-Acoustics K2 with three Kara II per side. Side-fill was provided by 12 K2 boxes on either side of the stage. Six groups of two Kara II delivered front-fill, while 24 KS28 subwoofers evenly stacked in front of the stage ensured low-end definition and rumble throughout the arena.

This powerful configuration ensured that every fan in the arena experienced the full spectrum of Pan’s performance, from the crisp highs of his vocal delivery to the thunderous lows of his bass-heavy tracks.

The Huaxi Live Yudong arena, with its 360-degree open-stage design inspired by NBA standards, provided the perfect backdrop for Pan’s high-octane show. The L-Acoustics K Series system, known for its clarity and power, filled every corner of the venue with pristine sound. “The L-Acoustics K Series, particularly the K2 and Kara II with their Panflex technology, allowed us to achieve optimal coverage throughout the arena,” Xuan Yuan explained. “This flexibility was crucial in delivering a consistent, high-quality sound experience to every audience member, regardless of their location in the venue.”
